Who am I?
I’m a knitter, a mom, a child of God. An idea factory, a teacher, a seeker of joy and lover of a good laugh.
Color is a must. Not just with color work, but with dyed yarns as well. Riotous, gob-smacking color makes me happy. There will be colors, lots and lots of colors.
Techniques are a passion.
Experimentation comes naturally: where to use a particular tool, a cast-on, how to weave a float, which bind off looks best, particular habits of a yarn within a stitch pattern and so on.
I’ll share what I find since that helps me continue to push the expected into the more useful and efficient. And it might help you to think differently about some things too.
There will be patterns. We can’t test the techniques and practice the craft without designs to work. There is no one single type of pattern that I stick with, anything is open: hats, sweaters, socks, mitts, mittens and gloves, shawls and so on. The field is open.

This applies to my opinions as well. There may be some of that in these pages. There is a lot going on in our little worlds and hearing a voice that is not our own can bring a new perspective and change the heart. I invite comment with the requirement that we debate the topic and have a discussion. Think of this as a digital salon. Respect for opinions and an open mind are a requirement. Blatant attacks of a person are not welcome.
